Here’s your weekly update on team standings for LA sports that are going on this week, 7/28-8/4. First off-
🔵The Dodgers have gone 4-3 since my last standings update. Their first place lead in the NL West has gone from 8 games (from my last standings update) to 6.5. Concerning? Let’s see, trade deadline is this week.
🔴The Angels have gone 4-3 since my last standings update. They just can’t beat Oakland Athletics. Stating the obvious, but Angels are not contenders and will likely trade some big players this deadline.
⚫️The MLS All-Star break took place last week and the MLS season is on a brief hold for the Olympics and Leagues Cup. So far, LAFC is off to a nice start in Leagues Cup winning their first match.
⚪️Same applies for Galaxy except they did not play a Leagues Cup match yet.
⚫️Angel City FC played no games as NWSL season is on pause for the Summer Olympics until August 18 but they have played 2 games in the NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup. They are 2-0-0 so far not bad!
🟣LA Sparks season is on-hold currently for the Olympics.
