Here’s your weekly update on team standings for LA sports that are going on this week, 8/25-9/1. First off-
🔵The Dodgers have gone 5-1 since my last standings update. Nice week but their first place lead in the NL West remains at 3 games like in my last standings update last week. They’re got the best record in baseball though. 31 games to go in the season.
🔴The Angels have gone 1-6 since my last standings update. They’ve fallen to last in the AL West and have got the 4th worst record in the MLB. They’re 3-13 in last 16 games.
⚫️LAFC made it all the way to the Leagues Cup Final but fall to Columbus Crew. At least they’ve qualified for the Champions Cup.
⚪️LA Galaxy returned to MLS action for the first time since July 20 and won their first game back! A 5 point lead in 1st in the Western conference for LA Galaxy!
⚫️Angel City FC returned to NWSL action for the first time since July 6 and won their first game back! They’re just 1 point back from playoffs contention!
🟣LA Sparks went 0-3 since my last standings update and now have the worst record in the WNBA. They’ve lost 7 in a row. Dark times.
🔵Rams lost their final preseason game to finish 2-1 in preseason. First game of the regular season is September 8th!
🟡Chargers won their final preseason game to finish preseason 1-2. First game of the regular season is September 8th!
