Here’s your weekly update on team standings for LA sports that are going on this week, 8/11-8/18. Preseason football has started. First off-
🔵The Dodgers have gone 4-2 since my last standings update. The NL West has quickly become super competitive. Earlier in the season Dodgers had a big lead and now they’re only 3.5 games ahead. They’re tied for the best record in the NL though.
🔴The Angels have gone 3-3 since my last standings update. Nothing new.
⚫️MLS season is on hold for Leagues Cup. LAFC have made it through to the Round of 16. They beat Austin FC in the Round of 32!
⚪️LA Galaxy have been eliminated from the 2024 Leagues Cup. They lose to Seattle in the Round of 32.
⚫️Angel City FC played no games in NWSL since the season is on pause. Their time in the NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup is over as they’ve been eliminated in the semifinals.
🟣LA Sparks season is on-hold currently for the Olympics.
🔵Rams football is back. Preseason has started and they’re 1-0 so far.
🟡Chargers football is back. Off to a bad start in preseason, 0-1.
