LAFC have acquired central midfielder Mark Delgado from the LA Galaxy, per Tom Bogert. LAFC get a new key midfielder. Galaxy get salary cap relief. Delgado was entering final year of contract.
Delgado, 29, won MLS Cup with Galaxy last year & w/ Toronto FC in 2017. He will play for all 3 LA-based clubs in MLS, after starting with the now-defunct Chivas USA.
Delgado was a huge piece to Galaxy’s squad. He played 106 games scoring 5 goals, had 12 assists for Galaxy in 3 seasons. Great pick up for LAFC.
