With the 2024 NHL Free Agency starting yesterday, the LA Kings have already made some moves as well as had some losses.
Signed players:
-D Joel Edmundson (4 year deal)
-F Warren Foegele (3 year deal)
-Pheonix Copley (re-signed on 1 year deal)
-Trevor Lewis (re-signed on 1 year deal)
-Jeff Malott (2-way deal)
-Tyler Madden (2-way deal)
-Jack Studnicka (2-way deal)
-Glenn Gawdin (2-way deal)
-Reilly Walsh (2-way deal)
Players lost:
-Viktor Arvidsson (2 year deal with Oilers)
-Cam Talbot (2 year deal with Red Wings)
-Blake Lizotte (2 year deal with Penguins)
That's how the Kings free agency has gone so far. No big moves and some key players lost. Joel Edmundson has 9 years of NHL experience. Last season he scored 1 goal, had 5 assists, with a -2 +/- rating in 53 games. Nothing too big. Warren Foegele was a solid singing. He has 7 years of NHL experience. Last season he scored 20 goals, had 21 assists, and a +3 +/- rating in 82 games with the stacked Oilers. Not bad and they're only paying $3.5 million a year. It has not been the best Free Agency and they need to make some more moves.
