LA Galaxy have signed goalkeeper Brady Scott to a one-year deal through the end of the 2024 MLS season, with two club option years through 2026. Who is he and why did Galaxy sign him?
Brady Scott, aged 24 and from California, goes to LA Galaxy from his stints in Germany with 1. FC Köln II (2017-20) and in the United States with Columbus Crew 2 (2022-23) in MLS NEXT Pro, along with spells at Memphis 901 FC (2021) and Sacramento Republic FC (2020) in the USL Championship. Notably, he achieved six shutouts in 15 appearances during the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Regular Season. Following his selection by the Columbus Crew in the 2021 MLS Re-Entry Draft, Brady delivered five shutouts in nine regular-season outings for Columbus Crew 2 throughout the 2022 MLS NEXT Pro Regular Season, contributing to Crew 2's victory in the 2022 MLS NEXT Pro Cup Final. Not bad.
He'll likely be the 3rd string goalkeeper and maybe fight for the backup role. Let's see. Pretty good signing and good depth for LA Galaxy.
