The Dodgers claimed OF Taylor Trammell from Seattle. In order to make room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers released LHP Matt Gage.
Trammell is a former top prospect and 2016 Competitive Balance pick. Did not meet expectations in MLB but Dodgers can hopefully fix him. Nothing to lose and may need him if Jason Heyward’s back injury gets worse. Played in Seattle for 3 seasons.
MLB stats: .168 AVG, 15 HR, 39 RBI, 4 SB, .638 OPS in 304 at bats
