Chris Klein Is No Longer The President Of LA Galaxy

After 10 years, LA Galaxy president, Chris Klein, has officially parted ways with the team. LA Galaxy Head Coach and Sporting Director Greg Vanney will continue to lead all soccer operations while reporting directly to Beckerman, president of AEG.

Why did Chris Klein get fired? Well, it's a no brainer, the team is dead last in team standings and having one of its worst seasons in franchise history. Although Galaxy did well when Klein was president in previous years winning the MLS Cup in 2014, in recent years the roster decisions have not been good. For example, last year Klein cost the club $1 million in General Allocation Money for not giving the correct roster designation for former player Christian Pavon. Becuase of this, the Galaxy are not allowed to sign international players during the next secondary transfer window.

Klein has also made Galaxy lose a lot of its home fans. Many supporters began a boycott at the earlier this season to not attend games until Klein was out. This apparently was very noticeable during games. It's true that Galaxy's failures could be from Greg Vanney as well but Galaxy have not been as competitive since before Vanney's time. The club has not gone far in the playoffs when they were in after their last MLS Cup win. Hopefully Vanney will switch things up or he may be out soon as well.
