The Chargers are in the final stages of securing a deal to bring on Kiel McDonald, the current running back coach at USC, as their own running backs coach. Despite opportunities to pursue a role as a college offensive coordinator, McDonald has chosen to join Jim Harbaugh’s staff as a running back coach. Throughout his coaching tenure at Utah and USC, McDonald has mentored notable backs like Zack Moss and Marshawn Lloyd, who is regarded as one of the top prospects in this year’s draft.
