In case you missed it last night, the #Falcons traded QB Taylor Heinicke to the #Chargers for a conditional 6th-round pick. A potential new backup for Justin Herbert.
Heinicke has been in the NFL since 2015 but started to get more playing time in 2021. He completed 62.5% of his passes for 3,419 yards with 30 touchdowns and 28 interceptions in his career. Because of his experience as a starter (29 career games), Heinicke should battle Stick for the No. 2 quarterback spot once he learns the playbook.
