The Angels has Designated LHP Angel Perdomo and LHP José Quijada for assignment. After 5 seasons, Quijada is DFA’d to make room for Ryan Johnson who has made the big league roster. Ryan Johnson would become the 24th player in MLB history to go straight from the Draft to the Majors without first playing in the minors.
Angels also Selected the contract of INF Tim Anderson.
Additionally, Angels have agreed to a one-year contract with INF Nicky Lopez.
Lopez had a solid Spring Training with the Cubs going 9 for 20.
